St. Gabriel's Church, Popley, is a Church of England Church, a Healing Church and one of the Basingstoke Churches, is set in the heart of the community of Popley, a fast growing area of Basingstoke, which has been created to respond to the needs of a growing town. An dynamic Anglican church for a dynamic and growing community, and now has responsibility for Rooksdown and Limes Park.The Parish Church has been on the same site since the 1960s and provides a friendly and lively Anglican church that meets the needs of the growing community year by year. St. Gabriel's is becoming a Church that the Community of Popley look to for Healing of Body, Mind and Spirit and prayer for healing is available after services on Sunday mornings.St. Gabriel's now has two Lay Readers: Shelagh Kavanagh who is a member of the congregation and Ian Coster, who is a visiting Lay Reader. Contact details may be found on the contact page. As St. Gabriel's Church, Basingstoke, is in the heart of the Community of Popley, it is used by a large variety of groups for a venue. Some are run by the Church and some are run for by other organisations. Whatever your needs for social or religious activities, we are certain that we can either provide for them directly or point you in the right direction.
The new Youth and Young Families Workers will be commissioned later in the Summer and will be working with schools and other community organisations.A Messy Church session is now held every month. Check the notices area to find the next date.
